Products from Horizons International are either written in Dexterity, the native programming language of Dynamics GP to provide tight, seamless integration, or are written in the latest .Net technology to provide easy deployment and economical licensing. Because of this, customers need never worry about typical '3rd-party' software issues such as disconnected databases, and heavy licensing costs.

Horizons Manufacturing Suite (HMS) is composed of a series of modules that enable manufacturing scalability where one can begin by using the Bill of Materials and Production Entry and scale up in use as situations demand. Add Work in Process, Serial and Lot Number control, Material Requirements Planning, Engineering Change Order and Manufacturing Production Scheduling and a Product Configurator. The hZ Product Configurator acts as both a Sales Order Product and/or a Manufacturing Product Configurator and estimator for the Dynamics GP and integrated Horizons Manufacturing Suite systems. Enable the sales team to configure to customer demands. Empower the production staff to create Bills of Material and Work Orders to meet demand.
The Horizons Quality Management System integrates with Microsoft Dynamics and the Horizons Manufacturing Suite to support manufacturers in collecting and measuring their quality control data in real time throughout their manufacturing operations. Horizons Quality Management System.

Additionally, Dynamics GP Sales Order Processing capabilities are greatly enhanced with the hZ Item Pricing Matrix (IPM) ability to handle complex and varying methods of pricing goods.

- Bill of Materials with Production (BOM)- including Indented Bill of Materials as well as viewing bills via the "Tree View", (like MS Explore), advanced Copy, Replace and Delete capabilities, Phantom BOMs, Standard Labor/Overhead, Actual Time entry, Variances, automatic Sales Orders to Work Orders, and disassembly of completed work orders. Handles both discrete and process manufacturing.
- Engineer Change Orders and Revisions (ECO)- Visualize quickly with a graphic selection tree for 'Planned', 'In Use' or 'Historical' ECOs/BOMs.
Alphanumeric ECO, Revision and Change Request numbers with decimal sub numbers.

Manufacturer's Part Number specific to each Revision to change with effective date.

- Serial and Lot tracking - with the ability to trace components through the parent item.
- Before the build 70 release of HMS, clients were able to use some HMS limited Serial /Lot capabilities without buying the Serial / Lot module. Work orders posted to an IV batch that then stopped in IV Transactions where the user could then edit the item and add the Serial number, before posting to the GL. With build 70 code (and after), this capability no longer exists. Horizons now handles direct posting with our own modules rather then through the Great plains system. Because of this change clients should be advised that registration keys for Serial/Lot are necessary.
- Work In Process (WIP)- including Unlimited Work Centers (that will be fully implemented with Router), ability to Customize and adjust Quantities and Components per work order, Return or expense excess scrap. Handles Attrition percents, Alternates, Reverse Productions (many from one), and Custom Productions (no BOM). Has high level process manufacturing capability.
- Router provides functionilaity and support for shop foor instructions through work centers and operations. It will inhance current standard cost functionality and enable performance reporting for actual activities against planned. Item level operatioinal needs differentiated between flat and run times. - Shop Floor Control provides various work center and capacity planning tools. Work order status and capacity required to complete is available from production and sales order drill downs. There will be auto generation of outsourced vendor purchase orders and ability to track outsourced materials with expected return date. Able to move a production along a predetermined routing schedule where material, labor and overhead standard or actual costs are accessed for real time cost rollup to the GL or auto application to WIP GL accounts. - Material Requirements Planning (MRP)- including Purchase Scheduling, Forecasting and Automatic Purchase Orders based on Sales Orders, Forecasting, Reorder Level or Work Orders demand. Auto creation of Subassembly Work Orders and consideration of Sales Orders and Work Orders that are Auto Create associated as one entity released with Version 6.67.
